What you need to know before your first Spinzone class

PREPPING FOR SPINZONE

WATER 

It’s important to stay hydrated always! Drink plenty of water before, during and after your class. Bring your own, or water can be purchased from our vending machine at reception.

EAT

You wouldn’t drive your car without fuelling up – your body is no different. Make sure to eat a light snack 60-30 minutes before attending your class.

WHAT TO WEAR: 

You are exercising so it helps to wear correct work-out clothing that you feel comfortable in. Footwear should be runners/trainers or cycling shoes with SPD clips. We recommend bright neon/white colours on top (optional) and form fitting pants or shorts on bottom.

CHECK-IN

ARRIVE EARLY

Nothing’s worse than a last minute set-up! Do yourself a favour and come to the studio 10/15 minutes before class starts. Be sure to let the front desk know you’re a newbie and we’ll get you set up on the bike.

TELL US YOU'RE HERE

When you arrive at Spinzone, go to the front desk and give your name. If you have booked online before attending (recommended), we will check you in and start your set-up. If you haven’t booked, we’ll organise the cash payment at reception and then set you up for class.

FIRST TIME WAIVER

New to Spinzone? If you’ve booked online we have your details and your fitness to attend disclaimer already. If you attend without booking online, you will be asked to fill out a new rider waiver when you come in. *please note, riders under 18 must have their parent or guardian sign the waiver in person!

Lockers

We all carry important stuff like mobile phones, wallets/purses & gear bags. Spinzone provide locker holes in our studio for your things. No padlock or money is needed – it’s free!

CHANGING ROOMS & SHOWERS

We have full male & female changing rooms available at Spinzone, with private shower cubicles. Perfect for those on the go who need to freshen up or change before and after class.

Bike Set Up

Our Spinzone bikes aren’t just good looking; they’re simple to set up! In case you’ve never done it before, there are 3 places where you can adjust your bike: 

1) Seat height
2) Fore/aft seat position
3) Handlebar Height 

If you’re new to class, as stated above, arrive early and ask the front desk for assistance.

TIME

The standard Spinzone fitness class is 45 minutes in duration. Please arrive on time or a few minutes before your class start time. Classes will start on time with or without you, so don’t put yourself under stress and get in on time.

AGE

You must be a minimum of 14 years old to attend a Spinzone Class. There’s no maximum because you’re never too old for fitness.

SPINZONE SAFETY & BEGINNERS ALWAYS WELCOME

Spinzone is a full-body workout and like any new fitness routine, you may want to chat with your doctor before your first class. Also, if you’re new to Spinzone or to a particular instructor, please let us know – we are happy to answer any questions. We were all new riders at one time! 

Before class, make sure to check that all pins are tight, that your shoes are secure in the pedals, and that you test the brake. Our instructors are motivational leaders who will inspire you to push yourself, but please listen to your body and work at a pace that is comfortable for you. Stay hydrated, and take on water/fluids throughout! If you experience any unusual or persistent symptoms after your ride, please don’t hesitate to seek medical attention.
